   Click on the link below for surgery risks. The Louisiana Medical Disclosure Panel Law requires that                                               physicians tell patients:
                                        (1) the nature of the patient's condition
                                        (2) the general nature of the proposed treatment/surgery
                                        (3) the risks of the proposed treatment/surgery, as defined by the Panel, and
                                        (4) reasonable therapeutic alternatives and risks associated with such alternatives.

  SPCP urges patients to discuss the risks with their doctor and try to find out if any of the risks has occurred in his/her practice before undergoing any procedure.
              There is no such a thing as a risk-free operation. You should want to consider all less invasive procedures first.   Often, your operation is just a money-making opportunity.  Beware!!
